Who said that selling farts in a jar is gross and not possible? Not for Stephanie Matto, a reality TV star, who refers to herself as a “fartrepreneur“. However, she ended up in the hospital from farting too much.
Stephanie Matto is a reality TV star who appeared in TLC’s “90-Day Fiance” and a TikTok content contributor with more than 10k followers as of writing this article. Who would have thought that someone like Stephanie will actually sell her own gas? And what’s more surprising is some people are actually buying them!
The reality TV star started selling farts in a jar back in November when somebody requested her on an adult-content site called Unfiltrd. The price per jar containing her gas is at $1,000, although Steph offered a big 50% slash discount due to the festive season.

To keep up with the rising demands from her followers, she managed to squeeze out 50 jars worth of gas a week. She was able to do this by undergoing a special diet. She opted for a high fiber diet, living off beans and eggs. Then, later on, she added protein shakes to her concoction after discovering that it can make her fart smell worse.
Due to her determination to deliver, she ended in the hospital with heart attack symptoms. According to the doctors, after performing blood tests and an EKG, it was found out that the symptoms were caused by excessive gas due to her diet – beans, eggs, and banana protein shakes.
I remember within one day I had about three protein shakes and a huge bowl of black bean soup. I could tell that something was not right that evening when I was lying in bed and I could feel a pressure in my stomach moving upward. It was quite hard to breathe and every time I tried to breathe in I’d feel a pinching sensation around my heart.

Step’s Fart Jars Is Now In The NFT World
Matto, although was said to retire from selling her gas in the real world, she is now switching her business model to NFT (non-fungible tokens). In her new business, she is now selling cartoon images of her farts in a jar.
Step launched a website selling to people 5,000 fart jar NFTs which cost 0.05 ETH for each fart jar. The cost excludes the gas fees.
As of writing this, the current exchange of 0.05ETH is around $171.13USD. So, if she is able to sell all those 5,000 fart jars, Matto will get around $43,000 USD. Not bad!
You may think that the idea is absurd, but hey, Matto seems to be doing just well financially. The idea might be ridiculous but someone out there is interested and actually buying it. And now, Matto with her out-of-this-world business model and merging it with the NFT’s popularity seems to nail it!
